We continue with Part 3 of the lesson on How to play “Little Wing” by Stevie Ray Vaughan. This part picks up the pace in dynamics, so you’ll need an overdrive pedal to add a bit more gain and sustain. As usual there are some great licks in this part. Check it out!

Ok, this is a follow up lesson on How to play the Solo from Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix. Short but cool Solo, in which Jimi introduces the use of Octave pedal, that was one of his trademarks of the sound. I also use an octave pedal from Elite Tone. Check it out!

RHCP – My Lovely Man – Solo

Alright, here’s the Solo section from My Lovely Man by RHCP. John was heavily influenced by Jimi Hendrix and you can hear that in a lot of his solos. The first part of the solo starts off with some unison bends, that Jimi used quite a lot in his playing. The second part is just crazy use of blues and minor pentatonic scales in Hendrix’s fashion as well. All in all it’s a great solo, check it out!
